Welcome day - class 2026
April, 1 2026 - Accenture People Hub Milanofiori

On April 1, 2026, at the Accenture offices in Milan-Assago, we welcomed the 69 students of the ReadyForIT | Refugees & Migrants Class of 2026. They were selected in the previous months from around 250 applicants to take part in a 4-month full-time program that will prepare them to become professionals in AI & Business Automation.

They are all young men and women from 29 different countries, with academic or professional backgrounds in IT. What they share is that they were forced—due to various circumstances—to leave their homes and cities. Today, they are in Italy with valid residence and work permits, excited to begin a new chapter in their lives thanks to ReadyForIT.

This Welcome Day was a great opportunity not only to greet them, but also to introduce them to the wide network of partners supporting the ReadyForIT | Refugees & Migrants Class of 2026. It was also a chance for them to meet the buddies who will support them throughout the program, and to reinforce the importance of making the most of this opportunity to invest in their future.

On the same day, they were also given laptops donated by Accenture, and in the coming weeks they will receive grocery vouchers provided by Fondazione Conad ETS.

The morning concluded with an inspiring talk by Christ Dieu-Benit Nkounkou Kizekele, a ReadyForIT alumnus (Class of 2024), who now works in Network Operations at Wind Tre. He shared his experience and encouraged all the students in this year’s cohort.
